• EzHDSAN 24 Power Supply is Triple Redundant 2+1, 950 watt. Supplies are modular and hot swappable for no SAN interruption if a power supply fails.
• Dual or triple AC inputs so EzHDSAN can be powered by separate sources to protect against external power failure.

High Performance for today’s most popular High Definition editing

• EzHDSAN supports simultaneous Real-Time HD multi-stream editing in most popular formats: DVCPRO HD, P2, VariCam, AVC-Intra, XDCAM EX, HDV, DNX220HD, MJPEG, MPEG 2/I-frame, ProRes 422 & 4444, Infinity JPEG 2000 and others.
• Workstations or laptops with no internal HD capable storage will be able to edit HD using EzHDSAN as its HD project storage.
• Each additional workstation has its own fully dedicated 1Gb line with private hardware processing. No sharing, congestion or single point of failure due to intermediate switches.

Low Initial Investment with Modular Scaling to High Storage Capacity

• Completely user installable for minimal installation investment.
• Lower cost workstations and even laptops with the processing power to edit HD but without HD capable storage can now be used for HD editing with EzHDSAN.
• Configurations start at 8 disks (16TBs of raw storage) and larger units will scale up to 24, 48 or 96TBs of raw storage.
• Larger 24 or 48 disk units hold 20 to 84TBs at Double RAID 6 + 2 Hot Spares and 14 Workstations without additional boxes of equipment.
• EzHDSAN with 84TBs of protected storage for example equals 3,360 Hours of DVCPRO HD 720P/24 video or 20TBs equals 800 hours.
• Additional storage is available using additional optional external arrays.

High Number of Simultaneous HD Users

• Number of users / workstations on 24 or 48 disk EzHDSAN start at 6 and can be increased at any time to a maximum of 14. Smaller units service 4-6 users also with real-time multi-stream HD.
• EzHDSAN can also be connected to the company’s Local Area Network (Ethernet) allowing an unlimited number of authorized users complete data access to store and retrieve data at very high bandwidth.

Easy Maintenance with Compact Simple Appliance Design

• EzHDSAN is one Appliance box with dedicated Gigabit workstation ports on the back and removable hot-swappable disks on the front.
• Rugged travel case with shock absorbers and removable front and back covers also available.
• Power Supplies on 24 and 48 disk units are modular and redundant. New power supply modules are Hot-Swappable and it is not necessary to shut down the EzHDSAN to replace a power supply module. A Hot Spare power supply module is also available bringing the total to four.
• Authorized remote service access is available for maintenance checks and updates from within the company or remotely over the Internet. This optional capability can be used for off-hour software updates and during regular hours will not interrupt the SAN operation.

Open Platform Compatibility

• EzHDSAN is compatible across Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Apple and Linux workstations, all showing up to 84TB Volumes.

Easy Web Based Predictive Status

• EzHDSAN incorporates predictive failure technology from the top 1 Beyond IntelliRaid products. All data disks are continually monitored for 7 predictive operational limits, e.g. read retries. If any predictive parameter goes out of limits or if there is a failure, EzHDSAN can send email notification to 3 separate parties e.g. the IT department and an editor.
• EzHDSAN can connect to a LAN with its separate Ethernet ports. The controller or any disk status can be accessed without interrupting EzHDSAN’s operation using a simple Web GUI. This allows password access from any department remotely to investigate a predictive failure notification and determine its severity.
• If necessary, a spare disk can be hot swapped to become the new hot spare when it is convenient thereby greatly increasing maintenance efficiency.
